The Honorable Chief Justice and the Head of the Supreme Court held a meeting with the officials of the Kabul Urban Primary Court

Today, Wednesday (16th Dhul-Qa’dah 1446 AH), the Honorable Sheikh Abdul Hakim “Haqqani”, Chief Justice and Head of the Supreme Court of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, held a meeting with the officials of the Kabul urban Primary Court.
Accompanied by Al-Haj Mawlawi Abdul Wakil “Haqqani”, Director General of the High Office of the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice met with the heads, muftis, clerks, and administrative staff of the judicial inspection department, the Fatwa Department and four zones of the Kabul urban Primary Court.
The meeting began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Afterward, the Chief Justice provided essential guidance to the court officials, personnel, and staff on improving judicial and administrative matters, resolving cases efficiently, and handling related duties effectively.
Sheikh Abdul Hakim “Haqqani” stated that the courts serve as a bridge between the general public and the Islamic system. He emphasized that one of the primary goals of the Islamic system—delivering justice and giving rightful ownership to the deserving—is achieved through this institution. Therefore, all court officials and staff should be mindful of their significant responsibility and fulfill it according to the principles of Islamic Sharia.
Addressing the judicial and administrative members of the courts, the honorable Sheikh sahib said that our collective goal and responsibility is to deliver rights to their rightful owners, prevent oppression, administer punishments considering the principles of Sharia., support the oppressed, resolve cases on time, and address all public grievances.
The Honorable Chief Justice and head of the supreme court further added that all court officials and staff should implement the instructions sent by Caliph Umar Farooq (رضیالله عنه) to Abu Musa Ash'ari (رضیالله عنه): “Work for the sake of Allah and make your intention pure for the truth, then Allah will be sufficient for you and will grant you, His support.” They should serve the people with sincere intention, seeking the pleasure of Allah.
The Honorable Sheikh Abdul Hakim "Haqqani" stated that when citizens approach the courts, they expect their rights to be upheld and oppression to be prevented. Therefore, judicial members of the courts should listen to all statements from both the plaintiff and defendant, examine all documents, record relevant discussions and evidence in the case file, exclude irrelevant matters, and treat both parties equally.
He added that judges should encourage disputing parties toward reconciliation, which should be refers to the council of ulema for peace. Judges should tell the parties: “I will issue the ruling in this world, but the final judgment lies in the Hereafter, so it is better for you to avoid wrongdoing and oppression.”
The Chief Justice emphasized the importance of accuracy in primary court verdicts and advised that in complicated matters; they should seek guidance from higher courts. Judicial members must strictly adhere to time management and the complete clarification of the crime should be written in the notification of penal sentences.
