Dr. Abdul Malik Kamawi was born in the year 1347 in Kama district of Nanagarhar province. He completed his higher education at masters and PhD level in comparative law from Al Hazar University of Egypt. Dr. Kamawi has worked as a lecturer in Qahera and Al Azhar universities for four years. With the estalishement of the interim administration based on the request of the ministry of justice he was assigned as advisor to the ministry of justice and later as deputy director of the secretariat of the Constitution commission and legal advisor to director of Loya Jirga of the ratification of the Constitution. Later on, he was appointed as the legal advisor of the joint electoral commission and director of presidential candidates’ office and in the year 1383 based on the recommendation of the government he was appointed as administration director general of the judiciary. He has written and published more than 15 academic articles in reference to different legal issues most of which are translated in Arabic and English languages.
Mr. Kamawi has participated in more than ten international legal conferences in Germany, Holland, Turkmenistan, France, Spain, Italy, Ireland and Egypt.
Mr. Kamawi speaks and writes in Dari, Pashto, Arabic and English languages.
